Stoneledge Farm + Home is a full-service design studio. Our projects range in size and scope and are listed below.
Pre-Construction Design
We are often retained by clients long before furniture is on their minds. We work alongside the homeowner, architect, and builder to conceive the design intention of the home. We attend early meetings with the architect and homeowner to convey the chosen aesthetic through material and finishes selection for all interiors. Our selection list will often include, but is not limited to: light fixtures, door and cabinet hardware, flooring, paint and wall texture/color, built-in design, plumbing fixtures, solid surfaces, kitchen appliances, and tile
Interior Design
We are often hired after construction has been completed (or is near completion) and our job is to fill an empty home (or complete a partially decorated home) with furniture, art, and objects. Our team will work on a room-by-room basis to create a designed interior in collaboration with the homeowner. Our team utilizes 3D software as well as hand sketches to express design concepts. Our “mood boards” include samples and swatches to assist in the communication of our design intent
Owner Consultation
SLFH is also a resource for first-time homeowners and/or clients who choose not to manage the complex task of selecting the project team (builder, architect, landscape architect). Mika’s 25 year history as a project manager for personal and client projects has developed into a niche business supporting clients before “Pre-Construction Design” and “Interior Design” processes. Mika’s specialty is the modern farm compound and she regularly offers thoughts specific to the business and logisitics of conceiving a hobby farm
Mika’s projects range in size and scope, and can be seen throughout the Green Mountain State, CT, FL, MA, MT, and NY.
